Realtime Monitoring
Electronic tracking of chemical and mechanical variables during yarn preparation uses sensors to transmit real-time data to a central control unit. Through warp sizing telemetry, textile mills monitor parameters such as moisture levels, bath temperatures, and roller pressures during the sizing process. This continuous monitoring system allows for immediate feedback and automatic adjustments to the processing machinery.
It is deployed to maintain the quality and consistency of processed flax yarns.
Data Transmission
Sensors mounted inside the sizing chamber and on the drying cylinders collect information on the moving yarn sheet. These digital signals are sent via a local network to the control console, where they are compared against the target profiles. When a deviation in moisture or temperature is detected, the automated system adjusts the steam flow or yarn speed.
This immediate adjustment ensures that the starch or polymer paste is dried to the correct level of residual moisture, preventing the yarn from sticking or becoming too brittle. Automated adjustments also keep the tension of the yarn sheet stable, which prevents stretching and structural damage to the delicate flax fibers during processing.
Production Control
The system automatically compiles these sensor readings into a comprehensive report for each processed beam. The mill quality manager archives this digital record to provide a complete history of the warp preparation stage for the buyer’s review. When yarn breakage rates increase during weaving, the telemetry log is analyzed to identify the root cause of the material failure.
Utilizing warp sizing telemetry results in more reliable yarn performance and higher factory efficiency.
