Equipment Inventory
Factory asset lists compile the technical specifications and operational status of every loom operating in the fabrication hall. The weaving machine register records each loom’s model, manufacturer, mechanical configuration, and historical performance data. This document is maintained by the engineering department to coordinate repairs and scheduled servicing.
It allows the mill manager to see which machines are available for high-density linen orders.
Maintenance Tracking
Mechanical maintenance is required to prevent yarn breakages and fabric defects during high-speed production. The weaving machine register tracks the history of part replacements, timing adjustments, and repair dates for each loom in the factory. This record helps the maintenance team identify machines that have a high rate of mechanical failure so they can be overhauled before causing fabric defects.
The log ensures that every loom operates within the narrow tension tolerances required for processing fine flax yarns. For example, older looms might be assigned to heavier, coarser fabrics, while newer, high-precision air-jet looms are reserved for fine, high-count linen.
Operational Allocation
Mill managers use these equipment records to allocate incoming fabric contracts to the most suitable looms. The weaving machine register provides the raw data needed to calculate total factory capacity and plan future equipment upgrades. This record remains a fundamental document for the mill’s operational planning.
