Mechanism Control
A collective of cords and weighted hooks manages the independent vertical movement of warp ends within a mechanical shedding system. The jacquard harness operates as the intermediary between the punch card or electronic controller and the individual warp yarns. Each cord attaches to a specific heddle, allowing the lifting or lowering of distinct components according to the programmed pattern.
Precise tension remains necessary to maintain the integrity of the design during the high speed operation of the loom. Failure to calibrate these connections results in misaligned intersections of the weft and warp.
Production Linkage
This array represents the primary technical interface during the weaving stage of Chinese linen manufacturing. Operations personnel monitor the synchronization of these lines against the technical specifications of the digital production files. Inspectors verify that the density of the cords matches the reed count of the specific fabric grade under development.
Any deviation in the travel distance of individual lines causes uneven shedding that compromises the finished quality of the cloth. Records of these adjustments reside in the machine maintenance logs maintained at the mill floor.
Performance Expectation
Operational reliability of the system depends upon the thermal stability of the cord material during extended running times in the factory. Constant load cycles exert friction against the guide boards, which requires the regular application of specialized lubricants to avoid heat buildup. Consistent movement of every individual vertical line ensures the geometric accuracy of complex patterns across the full width of the fabric roll.
Uniform response times across the entire assembly prevent pattern distortion in mass production environments.
