Liability Declaration
Contractual clauses on financial transaction documents bind the exporter to specific material compositions and quality grades. A commercial invoice warranty represents a legally binding assertion by the spinning mill that the shipped linen yarn meets all the specifications agreed upon in the purchase contract. It guarantees that the shipment consists solely of the designated long flax or short tow fiber, with no unauthorized additions of polyester or viscose.
Any mismatch between this stated warranty and the lab results of the buyer constitutes a breach of contract.
Mill Attestation
Spinning operations in the mill must align each batch of shipped yarn with the corresponding transaction document to prevent compliance disputes. The technical manager signs the warranty to verify the yarn count, twist per meter and moisture regain of the linen before shipment. This step prevents the buyer from asserting that the yarn was damaged or altered during transport.
Mill managers rely on these documents during customs clearance as primary proof that the exported goods correspond to the tariffs and quotas declared to the border authorities.
Dispute Resolution
Unresolved claims regarding fiber quality usually proceed to third party testing laboratories for final arbitration. The warranty remains the baseline against which the independent laboratory measures the delivered shipment. If the yarn fails to meet the invoiced parameters, the mill must replace the shipment or issue a credit note.
