Regulatory Verification
Production standards in spinning mills demand independent verification of physical yarn parameters to ensure contract compliance. The linen yarn audit provides this verification by checking linear density, tensile strength, and moisture content against buyer specifications. These checks are conducted at the post-spinning stage, with all findings documented in the official laboratory report.
Quality Control
When yarn is wound onto bobbins, variation in twist and thickness can degrade the final woven fabric quality. To prevent these defects, the inspectors examine yarn packages chosen from random lots in the warehouse. Technicians measure the deviation in yarn count, which is recorded in the laboratory log.
They also check the moisture regain to verify that the yarn has not been artificially weighted before shipping. This quality check protects the weaver from paying for water instead of dry flax, while maintaining a clean baseline for yarn performance.
Defect Isolation
A systematic linen yarn audit allows the mill to identify problems before the yarn is sent to the loom. For example, if the twist per meter falls below the limit, the loom will experience high breakage rates. The audit report records these anomalies and blocks the sub-standard yarn from leaving the spinning floor.
Corrective actions are then applied directly to the spinning frames.
